GMAT time…
Sorry I haven’t posted in the past week… I am taking the GMAT tomorrow and have been studying non-stop. I reached the 50 hour study mark just since Sunday. I’m going to be completely honest; I hate the GMAT. My head is spinning with visions of inscribed angles, variables, ratios, and word problems. I’ve also found that my grasp of the English language (sentence correction) is not as strong as I previously believed.
So everyone wish me luck on the test, and look forward to some quality posts in coming week.
I’ve also like to add some of my favorite GMAT links if you are starting to study.
GMATclub - This site has an amazing forum. They give detailed answers and explanations to everything.
BeattheGMAT - This site is similar to GMATclub with extensive forums on the GMAT, MBA admissions, and graduate school.
BeattheGMAT Blog - This is Eric’s blog that gives extensive details on how he studied and made a 720 on the GMAT. He details what he studied and covered from day 1 to test day. This is a great resource for a study plan.
GMAT Flashcards - Again, I am stealing from Eric’s site, Beatthegmat. This is the digital version of the flashcards that he used to study for the GMAT. I’ve found a lot of the cards to be useful.
GMAT on Delicious - This is a list of links of quality free material that have been compiled on Delicious.
GMAT Hacks - GMAT Hacks is written by Jeff Sackmann a GMAT quant expert. He has proven his ability to score in the 99th percentile multiple times and takes an innovative approach to the GMAT math. His GMAT Math Bible is probably the best math source out there though it is a little pricey at $50.
In terms of the actual paper books, the Official GMAT Guide, or the OG as we GMAT nerds call it, is by far the most superior product out there.
Everyone wish me luck.
